Sydney is an extraordinary city under many aspects. Who would not want to take a picture in front of its iconic Opera House or participate at the New Year fireworks show? So no wonder that millions of people choose Sydney as a business or holiday destination every year.

For a couple looking for a romantic vacation Sydney can be a great choice. There is always something going on here, and the city’s restaurants, hotels and spas will satisfy even the most demanding customer. There are also lots of attractions that are best when visited in two. Let me just give you a few examples:

Sydney Botanical Gardens

We have mentioned this popular Sydney attractions before on this blog, but the reality is that the gardens can be just as suitable for a romantic walk in two as they are for a family weekend. The Gardens have kilometers of well-maintained gardens and alleys, so you’ll be free to stroll and even get lost! You can even improvise a picnic on some beautiful meadow surrounded by flowers and exotic trees.

Sydney Harbor

Day or night, Sydney Harbor looks just as pretty. There is much to do and explore around this very famous harbor, starting with the Sydney Harbor Bridge and ending with an evening walk along the many paths surrounding the harbor. Yet nothing can give you more splendid views and create a more romantic atmosphere than a dinner cruise around the bay.

Blu Bar at Shangri-La

Hmm..I might have to take back what I said in the previous paragraph now that I remembered the Blue Bar. This ultra-chic bar at the Shangri-La Hotel in Sydney is considered to have one of the most stunning panoramas of Sydney Harbor. Here on the 36th floor of this luxury hotel you will have the whole city at your feet, while you’ll be chillaxing in style with a fancy cocktail in one hand. What could be more romantic and indulging than this?
